An error occurred while saving the comment AdminGuy Eschemann (Manager, airhdl) commentedHi Luca, thanks for your suggestion. In airhdl all registers are reset to their default values upon assertion of the axi_aresetn signal. Is that what you call the "software reset"?

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminGuy Eschemann (Manager, airhdl) commentedThanks for your suggestions. airhdl already supports write-one-to-clear (W1C) bits in registers of type "interrupt". Actually, all bits interrupt-type registers are W1C.

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminGuy Eschemann (Manager, airhdl) commentedThat's correct. The interface only supports the AXI4-Lite protocol for now, which is limited to burst lengths of 1.

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminGuy Eschemann (Manager, airhdl) commentedThanks for your suggestion! Do you have an example showing how such a driver could look like? Would it help to provide helper macros to set/extract the value of a given field from a given register, e.g. get_field_<reg>_<field>(), set_field_<reg>_<field>()?
Guy.

An error occurred while saving the comment AdminGuy Eschemann (Manager, airhdl) commentedWhat I call an "interrupt" register is a register whose fields are set in the user logic, and reset by writing one from the bus. Do you actually use other modified write values than "oneToClear"?
An error occurred while saving the comment AdminGuy Eschemann (Manager, airhdl) commentedActually, if you set a register's acces type to "interrupt", you should see the following elements in each <spirit:field> for that register:
<spirit:volatile>true</spirit:volatile>
<spirit:modifiedWriteValue>oneToClear</spirit:modifiedWriteValue> -

We now have a download button in the "Project" view, which allows downloading all the register maps in a project at once.
